15 day Luxury Kenyan Safari

Day 1 (Nairobi – Tsavo West)
Early in the morning you will be picked by your guide at your hotel. He will give you a short briefing about your safari. After the briefing you will start your journey to Tsavo West National Park via the Mombasa – Nairobi Highway. Back in the day Tsavo used to be one big park, but because of the construction of the Mombasa – Nairobi Highway it was divided into Tsavo East and West. Today you will visit the west part of the park, which is known as “the home of the leopards”. The landscape is dense and hilly, making it a little more difficult to spot the animals. However, nature is breathtakingly beautiful here.
Once you have entered the park you will start with your enroute game drive towards your lodge. Around lunch hours you will arrive at the lodge, where you will check in and sit down for a lovely lunch. After lunch you will have little bit of time to relax.
Later in the afternoon you will head back into the park for your evening game drive, which will last for about 2 hours. Try you luck this afternoon and spot as many animals as you can. When the sun starts to set it is time to head back to the lunch for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 (Tsavo West)
Enjoy an early breakfast and check out of the lodge. After you have checked out of the lodge you will have a morning game drive towards Mzima springs where you will have a 1 km walk accompanied by a ranger/guide, who will brief you about the attraction. Millions of gallons of water sprout out of rock forming springs and big pools of water, where hippos and crocodiles call this place “home”. After Mzima springs you will continue your game drive towards your lodge.
Once you are back at the lodge you can relax and use the hotel facilities until it is time for you evening game drive at around 16:00hrs. After about two hours you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 (Tsavo West – Amboseli)
After an early breakfast you will check out and head to Amboseli National park. The last park you will visit during this safari. Amboseli National Park, formerly Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve, is located in the Kajiado County. The park has little vegetation due to long dry months, it also houses swamps and a dried-up Pleistocene lake. The park is famous for viewing free-ranging elephants up close and of course for the spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Amboseli is home to many animals, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, impalas, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests and giraffes.
Around lunchtime you will arrive at your lodge, where you will check in and sit down for a lovely lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to relax a bit.
At 16:00hrs you will head into the park for your first evening game drive. Try you luck and spot at many animals as you can. When the sun starts to set it is time to head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 (Amboseli)
Another early morning today. You will head out into the park at 06:00hrs for your morning game drive. Animals are more active in the morning hours so your chances of spotting the wildlife are a bit better in the early morning. Try and find that one animal that is still on your bucket list. Around 08:00hrs you will start making you way back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you can relax and use the hotel facilities.
At 16:00hrs it is time for your two hours evening game drive. And if you are lucky mt. Kilimanjaro will show her lovely face this evening, which will guarantee beautiful pictures. Afterwards you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 (Amboseli – Lake Naivasha)
Have an early breakfast and afterwards check out of the hotel. Then you will start your long drive to Lake Naivasha. This is the highest located lake in Africa and is located in the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley.
It is a freshwater lake, while the remaining lakes in the eastern branch are strongly alkaline. Around lunchtime you will arrive at your hotel where you will check in and enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch you can relax and enjoy the facilities the hotel has to offer.
Later in the afternoon it is time to take a boat trip on the lake, giving you the opportunity to spot hippos. There are also many birds to see on Lake Naivasha. After the boat trip you return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 (Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara)
Wake up early today and have an early breakfast. You will check out of the lodge at 07:30hrs and start making your way to the world famous Masai Mara.
The park is located in Narok county and is adjacent to another world famous park, the Serengeti located in Tanzania. The Masai Mara is known for one of the world’s largest natural phenomena. The Great Migration of Wildebeest and Zebras. This is an annual recurring event where the wildebeests and zebras migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of food. During the migration they encounter many dangerous obstacles including rivers filled with hungry crocodiles.
At lunchtime you will arrive at your lodge where you will check in and sit down for a delicious lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to relax and use hotel facilities. Later in the afternoon you will head out into the park for your evening game drive. Search for the wildlife and enjoy the beautiful nature that this park has to offer. When the sun starts to set, it’s time to go back to your lodge for dinner.

Day 7 (Masai Mara)
After breakfast you will leave for an full day game drive. The whole day will be dedicated to spotting the big five. In addition you can also enjoy the beautiful savannah scenery that this park has to offer. When it’s time for lunch, you’ll find a nice place for a picnic in the middle of the park. After lunch you will continue your game drive. At 15:00hrs you will drive back to your lodge where you can rest a bit after this intensive safari day. Relax before you will sit down dinner.

Day 8 (Masai Mara)
You will have an early morning game drive starting at 6:00hrs this morning. Head out into the park to spot the wildlife at its best. Early in the morning animals are more active than during the day, which increases your chances of spotting wildlife. After about 2 hours you will head back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you can relax and use the hotel facilities. Go for a swim or just sit and enjoy the amazing scenery at your lodge.
At around 16:00hrs an evening game drive will be provided for you. Afterwards you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9 (Masai Mara)
After breakfast you will head into the park for a half-day game drive. Search for the animals that are still on your bucket list. Explore places you have not been before this safari and maybe you will find something special there.
At lunchtime you will slowly drive back to the lodge where you can sit down for lunch. After lunch it is time to relax. You can go swimming, take a massage or just relax.. Later in the evening, a delicious dinner will be served.

Day 10 (Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru)
After an early breakfast you will check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded grassland, lies the beautiful lake of Nakuru National Park. This park is a paradise for bird lovers. In addition to the many birds you can also find lions, rhinos, leopards and buffalo.
In the early afternoon you will arrive at the park. You will start with an enroute game drive towards your lodge. Once you arrive at the lodge you will check in and sit down for lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to relax a bit after the long trip.
At 16:00hrs you will head into the park for your evening game drive. Try your luck and try to spot as much wildlife as possible. When the sun starts to set, it’s time to return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11 (Lake Nakuru)
After breakfast you will enter the park for a 2 hours morning game drive. Your search for wildlife continues. You might find the famous tree-climbing lions of Lake Nakuru during the game drive. There are only a few parks in Africa where the lions climb the tree and this park is one of them. After your game drive, you will return to the lodge where you can relax before you sit down for lunch. At 16:00hrs you head into the park for the second time today, this time for your evening game drive. When the sun begins to set, it’s time to return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12 (Lake Nakuru – Ol Pejeta)
After an early breakfast you will check out and have an enroute game drive to the exit of the park. After leaving the park, your journey begins to the last park of this safari, Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The conservancy is known for its high density of animals per square meter and therefore this park is second on the Kenyan ranking in terms of the amount of animals in the park. In addition, they also have a rhino and chimpanzee sanctuary, which you can visit to see the animals up close. During lunch you will arrive at the lodge where you can check in and sit down for a lovely lunch. After lunch you can relax and rest a bit after your long drive.
At 16:00hrs you will enter the park for your evening game drive. With a little luck you can spot some rhinos in this park. After a game drive of about 2 hours it’s time to drive towards your lodge.

Day 13 (Ol Pejeta)
Wake up early because you have an early morning game drive this morning. At 6:00hrs you will head into the park and search for wildlife. Around 08:00hrs you will return to the lodge for your breakfast.
After breakfast you can relax and make use of the hotel facilities. Go swimming, explore your lodge or just relax.
Later in the afternoon you will enter the park for your evening game drive. During this evening game drive you will also visit the previously mentioned rhino sanctuary. You are going to visit Baraka, the blind rhino. If you’re lucky you can also spot the last 2 northern white rhinos. When the sun begins set, it’s time to return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 14 (Ol Pejeta – Nairobi)
After an early breakfast you will check out and start your trip back to Nairobi. By noon you will arrive in Nairobi and have lunch somewhere. Then drive towards the giraffe center where you can feed the giraffes. If there is enough time left, you will visit the Karen Blixen Museum. After the museum you will be taken to your hotel where you can prepare for your flight home for the next day.

Day 15 (Nairobi)
Depending on your flight time, you will be picked at your hotel and taken to the airport. Your Kenyan adventure has come to an enend and it’s time to return home. Bon Voyage!
