5 day Safari Tsavo East, Amboseli, Tsavo West & Taita Hills

4 parks in 5 days, 4 different sceneries, 4 different adventures. A little bit of everything packed in a 5 day safari, what more do you want?

Day 1 (Mombasa – Tsavo East)
Early in the morning you will be picked by your guide at your hotel. He will give you a short briefing about your safari. After the briefing you will start your journey to Tsavo East National Park via the Mombasa – Nairobi Highway. Tsavo East National Park is the largest protected area in Kenya and is also know as “Theatre of the Wild”. The landscape in the park is mostly grass savannah which makes it a bit easier to spot the wildlife. With a lot of luck you will be able to spot the complete big five in this park. The animals you can spot in this park are herds of “red” elephants, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, gerenuks and a large variety of birds. Once you have entered the park you will start with your enroute game drive towards your lodge. Around lunch hours you will arrive at the lodge, where you will check in and sit down for a lovely lunch.
Later in the afternoon you will head back into the park for your evening game drive, which will last for about 2 hours. Try you luck this afternoon and spot the whole Big five. When the sun starts to set it is time to head back to the lunch for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 (Tsavo East – Amboseli)
Wake up early today and have an early breakfast. You will check out of the lodge at 07:00hrs and head into the park for your morning game drive. After you morning game drive you will head to the exit of the park. Once you have left the park you will start making your way to Amboseli National Park. Size wise Amboseli National park is much smaller than the Tsavo parks, but that doesn’t mean there is less wildlife to spot. The landscape is flat with little vegetation and with several swampy areas. The park is mostly known for its beautiful view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Keep your camera close as mt. Kilimanjaro might show her beautiful face. At noon you will arrive at the lodge where you will check in and can sit down for a lovely lunch.
After lunch there is the possibility to relax and make use of the hotel facilities. At 16:00 you enter the park for your evening game drive. When the sun begins to begin, it’s time to return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Dag 3 (Amboseli– Tsavo West)
Another early morning today with another early breakfast. After breakfast you will check out and head into the park for your morning game drive. After the game drive you will head to the exit of the park. Once you have left Amboseli National Park behind you, your journey to Tsavo West National Park will start. The west part of the old Tsavo park, which is known as “the home of the leopards”. The landscape is dense and hilly, making it a little more difficult to spot the animals. However, nature is breathtakingly beautiful here.Once you have entered the park you will start with your enroute game drive towards your lodge. Around lunch hours you will arrive at the lodge, where you will check in and sit down for a lovely lunch. After lunch you will have little bit of time to relax.
Later in the afternoon you will head back into the park for your evening game drive, which will last for about 2 hours. Try you luck this afternoon and spot as many animals as you can. When the sun starts to set it is time to head back to the lunch for dinner and overnight stay.

Dag 4 (Tsavo West – Taita Hills Sanctuary)
After breakfast you will check out and head into Tsavo West National park for your last game drive in this park. After about 2 hours you will head to the exit of the park and will it be time to head to the last park of your safari, Taita Hills Sanctuary. This park is a privately owned park and compared to Tsavo East and West it is much smaller in size. Even thought it is smaller you can still find a lot of wildlife in this park, such as lions, cheetahs and elephant. When you have reached the park you will check into the lodge and sit down for a lovely lunch. After lunch you will have time to relax and use the hotel facilities.
Later in the afternoon you will head into the park for your evening game drive. Keep those cameras on standby because you never know what you might see during the game drive. After 2 hours it is time to return to the lodge where you can get ready for a lovely dinner.

Day 5 (Taita Hills Sanctuary – Mombasa)
Wake up early this morning, as you will go out into the park for an early morning game drive at 06:30hrs. Animals will be more active in the morning hours so chances for spotting more animals are bigger. Around 08:00hrs you will head back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you will check out of the hotel and start your journey back to Mombasa where you will be dropped at your hotel.
