7 day safari Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli & Tsavo East

7 day safari filled with beautiful parks, great wildlife spotting opportunities and most important adventure!

Day 1 (Nairobi – Masai Mara)
Meet and greet at the hotel with your guide. Your guide will brief you shorlty about the upcoming trip. After the meet and greet you will drive along the slopes of the Great Rift Valley to the world famous Masai Mara. The park is located in Narok county and is adjacent to another world famous park, the Serengeti located in Tanzania. The Masai Mara is known for one of the world’s largest natural phenomena, The Great Migration of Wildebeest and Zebras. This is an annual recurring event where the wildebeests and zebras migrate from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of food. During the migration they encounter many dangerous obstacles including rivers filled with hungry crocodiles. At lunchtime you will arrive at your lodge where you will check in and sit down for a delicious lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to relax and use hotel facilities.
Later in the afternoon you will head out into the park for your evening game drive. Search for wildlife and enjoy the beautiful nature that this park has to offer. When the sun starts to set, it’s time to go back to your lodge for dinner.

Day 2 (Masai Mara)
After breakfast you will leave for an full day game drive. The whole day will be dedicated to spotting the Big five. In addition you can also enjoy the beautiful savannah scenery that this park has to offer. When it’s time for lunch, you’ll find a nice place for a picnic in the middle of the park. After lunch you will continue your game drive.
At 15:00hrs you will drive back to your lodge where you can rest a bit after this intensive safari day. Relax before you will sit down dinner.

Day 3 (Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru)
After an early breakfast you will check out and have an enroute game drive towards the exit of the park. Once you have exited the park you will drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded grassland, lies the beautiful lake of Nakuru National Park. This park is a paradise for bird lovers. In addition to the many birds you can also find lions, rhinos, leopards and buffalo.
In the early afternoon you will arrive at the park. You will start with an enroute game drive towards your lodge. Once you arrive at the lodge you will check in and sit down for lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to relax a bit after the long trip.
At 16:00hrs you will head into the park for your evening game drive. Try your luck and try to spot as much wildlife as possible. When the sun starts to set, it’s time to return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 (Lake Nakuru – Amboseli)
After an early breakfast you will check out and have an enroute game drive towards the exit of the park. Once you have exited the park you will drive towards Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park, formerly Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve, is located in the Kajiado County. The park has little vegetation due to long dry months, it also houses swamps and a dried-up Pleistocene lake. The park is famous for viewing free-ranging elephants up close and of course for the spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Amboseli is home to many animals, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, impalas, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests and giraffes. Around lunchtime you will arrive at your lodge, where you will check in and sit down for a lovely lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to relax a bit.
At 16:00hrs you will head into the park for your first evening game drive. Try you luck and spot at many animals as you can. When the sun starts to set it is time to head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 (Amboseli)
After breakfast you will enter the park for a full day game drive. Keep those cameras close because you never know what hidden just around the corner. And maybe mt. Kilimanjaro will show her beautiful face, which makes for beautiful pictures. At around noon you will drive to a look out point in the park where you can picnic. Overlooking the entire park you can enjoy your lunch.
After lunch, you will continue with your game drive. At 15:00 it’s time to go back to your lodge. You can rest a bit after this intense safari day. Later in the evening you can enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 6 (Amboseli – Tsavo East)
Another early morning today with another early breakfast. After breakfast you will check out and head into the park for your morning game drive. After the game drive you will head to the exit of the park. Once you have left Amboseli National Park behind you, your journey to Tsavo East National Park will start. Tsavo East National Park is the East part of the old Tsavo Park and is also know as “Theatre of the Wild”. The landscape in the park is mostly grass savannah, which makes it a bit easier to spot the wildlife. With a lot of luck you will be able to spot the complete Big five in this park. The animals you can spot in this park are herds of “red” elephants, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, gerenuks and a large variety of birds.
Once you have entered the park you will start with your enroute game drive towards your lodge. Around lunch hours you will arrive at the lodge, where you will check in and sit down for a lovely lunch. Later in the afternoon you will head back into the park for your evening game drive, which will last for about 2 hours. Try you luck this afternoon and spot the whole big five. When the sun starts to set it is time to head back to the lunch for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 (Tsavo East – Nairobi)
Wake up early this morning, as you will go out into the park for an early morning game drive at 06:00hrs. Animals will be more active in the morning hours so chances for spotting more animals are bigger. Around 08:00hrs you will head back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and start your enroute game drive towards the exit of the park. Once you have left the park you will head back to your hotel in Nairobi. Lunch will be provided along the way.
